The 758 Scholarship Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity that we proudly established to continue the legacy of Honorary Police Officer Abigail Arias, by providing financial assistance in the form of scholarships, to those wishing to enter the basic law enforcement academy and serve their community.
Abigail Arias was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer at the age of four. Abigail’s cancer returned and spread to her lungs, and treatment stopped working. Chief Ray Garivey of Freeport PD swore in Abigail, where she became Officer 758.
From that moment until her passing on November 5th, 2019, Abigail lived life to the fullest. She was sworn in by agencies across Texas and the United States which include the NYPD, the Secret Service, and the Texas Rangers.
Abigail, while fighting cancer, was a living legacy of her motto: “Stay Relentless”. This inspired other young cancer patients, the community, and law enforcement from across the world. She accomplished all of this while wearing her uniform with honor, courage, and pride.
758 Scholarship Foundation board members are all volunteers. Most importantly, the proceeds raised for our 501(c)(3) charity event will be distributed to those wishing to enter the police academy in support of their local community, and in doing so, will continue Abigail’s legacy of selfless service.
