The 758 Scholarship Foundation is proud to announce the 1st Scholarship Recipient for the Foundation.
Current Law Enforcement recruits were encouraged to apply for the scholarship by writing an essay, describing a time in their lives that they stayed relentless. These essays were then reviewed by the Board of Directors and a winner selected.
In early 2023, the Foundation awarded Criminal Justice Academy of Osceola Recruit Deborah Guadalupe with the first Scholarship.
Recruit Guadalupe exemplifies the dedication, commitment and follow through that will represent Abigail's legacy well. On the night of her class graduation, Recruit Guadalupe was also presented with a plaque in honor of this achievement. Thank you, Recruit Guadalupe, and Stay Relentless!
Recruit Guadalupe wrote a letter to Abigail, that she wanted to share:
Dear Abigail,
We all have a purpose while we are in this world, and you made sure to serve yours relentlessly until your last breath. You left a legacy that came to my ears and touched my heart when I needed it the most, but most importantly gave me the strength to not give up on having a badge just like yours when I doubted myself for a split second. I dedicate my Class Commander position, my struggles, and victories throughout the academy as well as my first Deputy uniform to you and my mother who also went with the Lord fighting the same battle you did. So, keep living your best life in heaven with all your favorite llamas, I will help your family and loved ones carry that 758 badge in your memory baby girl.
